Synopsis
Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker–his classmate and crush–who committed suicide two weeks earlier.

On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.

Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.

Review:

Oh my where do I start with this book. It was incredible; I didn't think it was going to be as good as people made it sound, but boy I was wrong.

So many people have reccommned this book to me and so many times I've passed it and payed no attention to it. Finally I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Within the first few pages I was hooked. I thought Clay would take a big part in the book, but actaully he's character wasn't much interest; it was Hannah who took over the book. May I say Jay Asher did an amazing job of having Hannah's story about how little things no one noticed took a toll on her and ended in a way no one wanted. Hannah's character was beautiful in a odd way; she didn't over exaagerate things to make it seem like everyone in her 13 tapes was a huge asshole to her and such a bad person. She simply just showed how one mistake they may of made and ingored to fix could tear up one person.
This book was upsetting and yet addicting; I'm sure within every chapter I cried. Hannah's story makes you want to turn back time and change things for yourself. Jay Asher defiantly well thought out the plot for this book making the ending result worth reading.

P.s. My book reveiws are how I want them to be and I write what I please. If you don't like them or how I write them; it's as simple as not reading them. I don't write my reveiws to sound professional. I write them to tell you about what I think about the book.
